A full report of the June 2, 2010 rally against the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla was published in the Palestine Monitor. In Kansas City, Missouri, humanity took the form of one college student. Sara Jawhari, a journalism major and member of last December’s land convoy to Gaza, contacted local organisations to see if a protest was being planned. When one responded that there was no Israeli consulate in KC and therefore no need to protest, she jumped onto Facebook.

June 21 - US Senator McCaskill participates in state-wide tele-conference on Palestine-Israel

On Monday June 21, at approximately 3 pm, several concerned citizens from Kansas City, St. Louis, and Columbia met via teleconference with Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill from her Washington office. The teleconference was organized by St. Louis resident Michael Berg. Present at the meeting were several Kansas City area residents, as well as a group of St. Louis residents led by Hedy Epstein, Holocaust survivor who has tried to get into Gaza four times now. Several activists from Columbia also joined the conference.
